Project Overview
This Bridgeland project focused on recurring moisture problems rather than a full cosmetic renovation. The homeowner reported repeated surface mould and slow drying after showers.
The layout itself was functional — only the moisture and ventilation systems required correction.

Assessment Findings
On-site assessment showed:
- Inadequate exhaust fan size
- Poor duct routing causing trapped moisture
- Failing tile grout
- Minor moisture infiltration behind shower wall
Surface cleaning alone does not resolve mould caused by ventilation failure. Addressing the exhaust fan and duct routing was essential to preventing recurrence.
Scope of Work
No layout changes were required — targeted corrections resolved the underlying cause.
Outcome
Humidity retention reduced significantly. Surface mould did not return following the ventilation and membrane corrections.
This project illustrates that not every moisture problem requires a full renovation. When the root cause is ventilation and waterproofing, targeted corrections are often more cost-effective.

Seeing Signs of Mould or Slow Drying?
Recurring surface mould is a ventilation and waterproofing problem — not just a cleaning issue. A site assessment determines whether the exhaust and membrane systems are functioning correctly.
